This is a view from Westpark looking north at the drainage ditch running from the Hillcroft Transit Center, under Westheimer, continuing to Buffalo Bayou. Interestingly many people walk along it so it is already a transportation corridor. This right-of-way could be utilized to connect the rail line from the Hillcroft Transit Center to Westheimer, either by bridging the train over the ditch or placing it on either side. A rail stop could be placed in this segment as it runs by Unity Church (pictured below), the Rich Hill station of the US Post Office, and Lee High School in addition to many apartments and businesses.
